Mood: DeterminedMusic: Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies - Are a Drag!
You should start by obtaining the Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies cover of the song "Over the Rainbow." Go ahead, the rest of us will wait...

Hey! How was that? Well I know I really liked it, and it gave me the idea for my current effort that compliments the creation of Girl Month by my friend Spanio. So I've begun drawing the next generation of Oz characters, at least as it happens in my re-imaginings. I like the idea of a family connection to Oz, passed from mother to son. Though perhaps the son is a bit less accepting and enthusiastic as his mother was.

The list of my inspirations for this is pretty long, I guess foremost would be the Wizard of Oz.. which actually isn't my favorite movie but the characters are neat and I think many people really do enjoy Oz. Second would have to be the cover song I suggested you find and listen to, just hearing the song in a male voice really set things into motion for me. Third I think would be Spanio and also my wife Kim. Spanio's girl a day for the month of October effort gave the cause and my wife Kim gave a bit of the reason. Kim is not a slender girl, and to be honest I love her for it. So as I started into this I got it into my head to practice the different body types one finds in women. From almost scarily thin to average build to the plus sized girls. Also, my 'style' if it can be called such is so very obviously my attempt at anime influenced drawing (I certainly watched/watch enough of it) but I really like the clean and simple lines that one can find there. One thing you don't often find in anime styles is girls who aren't thin or slender, which I think really is kind of sad. So in my own small way I thought it'd be nice to showcase that ALL body types are cool to draw and they can all certainly be attractive through it all.

I'm a graduate of the University of Louisville with an MA in Psychology as well as a BA in Psychology from Thomas More College. So why wouldn't I be drawing? I mean it's so obvious right?

You're unlikely to find any truly finished work here, my lack of actual training in art production and ADD keep me tied to random flights of fancy that I think at best serve as maybe a proof of concept to those more talented/trained than I.

Spanier.. this is really your fault, whatever comes of this... it's totally your fault.
